Search Engine Optimization (SEO) while studying about SEO it is important to know about the history of Google. Google was a college project that done by Larry page and Sergey Brin who was the founders of Google. It was first published as the sub domain of their university. After that they started Google as a company. At the beginning while we search in Google the results will be sent to the email address that we have given in 24 hours. In 2001 September 11 WORLD TRADE CENTRE attack is the beginning of the change of Google search engine.
After that attack many
people begin to search in Google about the world trade centre attack for more
information about the attack but there was no sufficient info about the attack.
It became a major issue and Google officials gathered a meeting to solve the
issue. The major question was “why Google has no sufficient info about the
attack” it was because at that time Google pages were not Crawl able. The
Googlebot program was not able to crawl the websites to index that. Maybe the
Webpages with information about attack was not crawlable. By that Google was
not able to give sufficient information about the attack.
Google started to find a
solution for this problem. How to make webpages crawlable. For that the search
engineers said it is done by website owners or webmasters who manage the
website. So the Google said to give awareness to the webmaster or documents for
awareness. But the Google staff ignored the decision and said that optimization
practice is their secret files if that publish it will affect the company
existence of the company. The Google decide to give optimization practice to
webmasters for that Google introduced SEO starter guide as a document. By this
Google became easy to crawl their webpages.

After introducing SEO
starter guide the webmasters started practicing it. Some webmasters started
practicing it a lot. For making their websites more visible. Webmasters started
to misuse the starter guide. Many practices was not acceptable by google.
Types of SEO practice
1.White
Hat SEO: The practice that improves your search rankings on a
search engine results page (SERP) by maintaining the integrity of your website
and staying within terms of service. It is ethical.
2.Black
hat SEO: The tactics that may get a site higher SERP rankings but
are unethical and violating search engine guidelines.
Niche Specific/Content
specific
In starting time Google was
niche or content specific. It means showing the focusing keyword more times in
the websites it leads to page ranking. Some webmasters started to use focusing
keywords many time. This cause the content quality in Google webpage become
low. This type of entering focusing keyword is known as “keyword stuffing”. It is a black hat SEO technique. Google was
ready to compromise in their quality of content so they started to change the
algorithms.

rank: Page rank is a rating system introduced by Google to
rank websites to give genuine search results. Page rank is considered in a
rating way 1 to 10.
Link specific
Link specific is an
algorithm change that takes links for page ranking. It is getting
recommendations links to our page from another page. It is done by Google to
improve quality of the content. Getting links from another pages is a way to
improve page ranking. The focus of webmasters become getting recommendation
links. Some webmasters received links in unauthorized way and if Google find.
It will considered as spamming activity.

Quality link specific is an
algorithm change done by Google after the link specification to improve quality
of content. Google decide to rank the webpages by receiving links from ranked
websites. By that many sites try to sell the links. So the Google decide to introduce
“Passing the juice”.

It is a term used to refer
the value or equity passed from one page or site to another. This value is
passed through hyperlinks. Search engines see links as votes by other websites
that your page is valuable and worth promoting.

This is a method that

It is an affiliated program
to earn income from advertisements. It was an income for the webmasters.

Personalized ad means it is
shown by the basis of interest. It improves relevance to users and increase the
income.

Pogo-sticking is when the
searcher clicks on a link on search engine and sees that its not what they
looking for and immediately back off by hitting the back button.
